My Mom

By Taylor Busby

My mom is a special woman because she helps my sister and me. She is as tall as my sister (5ft., 3in.). She has brown eyes, and reddish-brownish hair. She dyes her hair a lot. Her hair is naturally blonde, but she dyed it because she didn’t like being blonde any more. She is quite skinny for a mom who had 2 kids.

My mom has a hectic life because she goes to work a lot. She never gets time to spend with her kids. But she has my grandma to take care of us until she gets back from work. She gets a lot of money from her work, and she helps to put a roof over our heads.

My mom helped me learn how to ride a bike. She helped my sister learn how to swim, when she was little. She has helped my sister and me for years. She is a strong, tough woman. And she would do anything to keep her kids safe.

When my mom was little she was a cheerleader, and she also played softball and baseball. She was into sports, like me. She was also into clothes like my sister. She was into cheerleading, like my sister and me. She was twenty-one when she had my sister, and twenty-four when she had me. Her birthday is March 18, 1970. She was a really cute baby and... she turned out to be a beautiful woman.

My mom has a tattoo on her leg. It is a flower——a tulip, and it doesn’t have any grass on the bottom. It is just a pink flower with a stem. It is really pretty. She also was a makeup artist. She got a lot of money from that. My mom would always do my sister's makeup before we went to dinner or did something special. She would not touch my face, because I hate makeup, and I don’t like to be all prettied-up before I go out to dinner.

When we went to Paris, she bought a lot of perfume and clothes. She works at the community coupon magazine. In that magazine she works for they do something fun. If they pick your name from the box, you get $500.00. They send it to you, and you get the check.

When my mom takes my sister and me to school she always waits until we are actually inside the school so that she knows we are safe. When we get out of school she always asks us what we did that day, because she is interested in what we do.

She takes us to 7-11 to get some treats. Then we go to her office and stuff magazines. I stuff magazines a lot and we get money back for the work. My mom’s boss pays us the money.

For my allowance my mom pays me $20.00, and my sister gets $80.00. She is a really cool, because she takes us out to dinner when we are hungry sometimes. She takes us to parties and lets us watch TV late, but only on weekends because she wants us to wake up early and go to school.

She bites me, but she calls them love bites. She doesn’t bite my sister, because she is too boney. My mom's brother bites too. I think it runs in the family. She does a lot of things. And some of them leave marks! She also squeezes me to death until I can’t breath. She does that a lot. But I still love her. She also kisses me to death, and it grosses me out.

When she goes crazy, she sometimes takes us to the Sammy’s restaurant. But she only does that sometimes, because she runs out of money because she hasn’t gotten her paycheck yet, or something like that.

She bought me a bike and she bought a bike for herself too. She watches T.V with me. She loves to tickle my sister and me a lot but she doesn’t like to be tickled herself, because she was tortured by her sister, my aunt, by being tickled.

My mom used to work for a photographer named Jeffery Brown. My mom was a good photographer. Sometimes she would have to take over for Jeffery because he was busy. They were good friends, and she would take me to her office. I would play with my sister in the room with white paint all over it. My sister and I would call it the white room. We would play little games about us being angels, and the room upstairs would be "H-E- double hockey sticks." My mom would take us to get something to eat, because we would be there for a long time. She would take us to do some of her errands with her, and she would let us buy some stuff we needed like school supplies. My mom goes to Corvette Diner for her lunch from work, and she brings back gum for my sister and me.

She is a wonderful mom. I wonder what is going to happen for us in the future.
