One Christmas

Dedicated to: My family for always being there for me.

It was Christmas and my cousins were over. I was really excited. We played basketball, and I beat my cousin, James, badly–32 to 5. James doesn’t play basketball a lot. So we decided to play NBA LIVE 2000. We played a few seasons. We won the championship every time. It was pretty easy since we had such a good team. Our line up was: Kobe Bryant, Jason Kidd, Karl Malone, Glen Rice, Shaq O’Neal.

Then we ate dinner. For dinner we had turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, and rolls.

I decided to spend the night at my cousin’s house. We played BLITZ until midnight. My cousin had two controllers so we could both play at the same time. I was usually the Green Bay Packers, since I like Brett Favre.

We went to sleep at one in the morning. I woke up at seven o’clock. James wasn’t awake yet, so I played GAME BOY. He woke up a few minutes later. We went downstairs and ate some eggs.

When we were done we went to his friend, Chris’ house. We played baseball for a while, since we were planning on signing up for baseball that year. The teams were me and my cousin, and Chris and his brother. I hit a home run to win the game.

Later we decided to go trade Poke’mon cards with his other neighbors Carlos and Fabio. We were having a good time until their mom called them in for lunch.

We decided to go to Carl’s Junior for lunch. We walked up to Carl’s since it wasn’t very far away. I got a western burger. It was really good! James, my cousin, got a regular hamburger.

After lunch my cousin and I decided to go to the park and play football. So we walked to the park with my uncle. I wanted to play football, because it is one of my favorite sports. When we got to the park I beat my cousin in football pretty badly, since I’m kind of good. It’s one of my more dominating sports.

When we got back from the park, I was exhausted. We’d been playing for an hour. I collapsed on to the bed.

I was in the mood for some Nintendo. James and I played for a while. Then my mom came and picked me up, but I wasn’t disappointed. This had been one of the best days of my life!
