THE SOUP

By Allie Olson

I was in second grade and I always wanted to be a chef. I knew that chefs can make people happy. I wanted to be a chef because I could make people happy with my food.

So one day I decided to make vegetable soup. I asked my mom for help because I was too young to use a knife and the stove. I felt inspired when my mom said I could do it.

I took some corn, noodles, cut up celery, chicken stock, tomatoes, carrots, and put it all in a pot on the stove for a half an hour.

I gave it out to the neighborhood even though some kids don't like vegetables. All the neighbors lined up at my porch. All the kids and grownups liked it. So I called it The Magic Soup, because most of the kids now eat vegetables.
