Hamster

My hamster is black, and he is a dwarf. He is about three months old. I went to three pet stores to find the cage that I wanted. Will and Joe (my friends from school) both have dwarf hamsters, so that's why I wanted one. I wanted the same cage as them, and I'm glad my mom was so nice and took me three places.

I named my hamster Hermie. She likes sleeping in her sock and running on her wheel. Sometimes she will climb on her bars all the way up to the roof and jump off and land on her back! She is so cute when she runs around.

I have to clean her cage once every week and a half. She is very stubborn. I love playing with her, she makes me happy when I'm sad, and makes me feel better when I'm sick!

I spent a lot of money on her but it was worth it. I spent close to fifty dollars. The only reason I had that money was because I just had my birthday and I got a lot of money!

Sometimes I watch her for hours. She runs. She sleeps. She eats. And she's just plain cute!

One time when I was not at home, her foot got stuck in a bar. My roommate heard a noise, so she tried to poke my hamster's foot back through the bar!

Lately, Hermie has been eating a lot. I think she's going through a growth spurt.

I love my hamster. I hope she lives forever! I know she won’t live forever, but I wish she would.
