My Bike
By Mary Flagstad
I have a bicycle. To me its the most beautiful bike in the world. Its a pretty magenta, with a metallic pink swirled into it. On the side are shiny letters, which I cant understand. But what is really special about my bike is the feeling I get when I ride her. Its a feeling of freedom, and independence is mixed in there somewhere.
I ride my bike in lovely parks with lots of tall grass. Circling trees is so much fun, because you have to work on keeping your balance. But what is truly wonderful in the park is racing down the hills. You dont have to pedal, and you feel as if you are flying down to the bottom.
Once Im down the hill, I ride over to the drinking fountain by the treewhich looks like a seat. It is a nice place to take a break. This is because the fountain is under tree, a nice big shady tree with many branches. Usually cute little squirrels with puffy brown tails, beady little eyes, and grayish orange fur, come out and run around tree.
Springtime is my favorite time to ride my "lightening fast-super smooth-cant see me when I pass" bicycle. It rains in the spring, leaving puddles for me to ride through. And believe me, its really fun. What I love about springtime is the beautiful sensation of flowers all around you. Dew drops stuck on colorful petals, a sweet fragrance fills the air. It all makes riding a bike so much more enjoyable.
I love that feeling I get when I ride my bike. Its a feeling of freedom, and independence is mixed in there somewhere. Im out on my own, seeing the world.
