Discussions:
-What we need to raise for:  Corporate efforts to go towards outfitting the new school.   Auction will likely raise enough for deficit. 
-Selling tickets for the auction.  Guest list and walkup tickets for sale?
-RSVP list
-Branding the party  "Art for Life"   "life=art"  "Color our World"  "LifeArt"
Children's Museum Charter School   "Learning for life"

 

III.  Planning the Art Auction/Party
Site Location for the Art Auction

Venue Options:
-June 17th or 24th @ NTC?  7200 sq feet cost $2500.00, but could get underwriting
-June 17th San Diego Art Academy
   Art School 8th & G
Free, space comes with a bit of its own audience.  Basic but has good lighting.  Would give us a whole week to get our stuff in.   Considerations --Parking and Clientele
-Mixture
in their back area – Casual funky art space on Kettner
-Renaissance
645 Front Street, above It's a Grind
-SD Rep

-Throwing a 2nd party at the City Front Terrace
thrown by the Hospitality Crew?
 
Artist donations for the Art Auction

Discussion: to go with Art Academy--tentative on possibility at the Rep and Phil checking out the Academy space.

 

IV.  Logistics Discussion
DJ music works well.  Catered food from Sycuan was very nice last year and 1 less thing for us to worry about.  Bar.
