Special Meeting – Museum School Governance Council

I. Role Call, Approve Agenda
Attending: Kathleen Heekin, Kay Ledger, Johanna Apple, Erik Aker, Gingerlily Lowe, Phil Beaumont, Jayne Marie Setaro, Holly Evans, Tom Wilcox

Phil outlined what the process is and described how the Museum School program will evolve to include a primary program. Plans for changing the school groundplan to accommodate the additional classes.

II. Museum School Charter – Amendments to be submitted to the San Diego Unified School District for approval

Phil discussed changes including:
Governance –Element 4
Admission Policy-Element 8 –adding preference boundaries
Suspension and Expulsions-Element 10 –pulled state language

Erik-motion to approve the current amendment to the charter, allowing for non-material changes that may occur during the review process with the charter school office staff of SDUSD.

III. School Safety Plan – to be submitted to the San Diego Unified School Police, February 15^th, 2008

Phil reviewed the Safe School Plan.
