Vermillion Snapper

One of the fish that you might catch at the pier is called the vermillion snapper. The vermillion red snapper's main habitat is in the coral reefs. Some live in the inshore, and they are also wanderes in the sea. Vermillion snappers look alike their relatives the red snappers, but they are smaller. They have yellow stripes on their sides and a pale belly. The dorsal fin is tipped. The tails and iris of the are vermillion. They grow to 15 inches long, but the Texas record is 22.5”, 5.6 lbs.
