6th Graders -2007

Our 6th graders left for 6th grade camp on May 7, 2007. They were very excited as they waited to board the bus for Camp Marston.

Camp Marston was a fun experience.  Throughout the week you will be going on a lot of hikes day and night so wear good walking shoes.  It’s a good time to meet new friends and learn new things.  There will be challenging, hard classes, but if you put all your effort into it they will be better.  Unlike school the classes there will be exciting and easy.  My favorite class was archery; we also learned how to boat on a lake; and how to climb a rock wall.  The food there was great.  If you are a vegetarian they will have vegetarian food for you.  They will serve things like pizza, macaroni, waffles, pancakes, pasta, and dessert.  In the mornings there will be a fruit bar.  In the evening there will be a salad bar.  On one day you might be having lunch outdoors, you’ll see.  The cabins were really nice, just make sure to clean after yourself.  You will see turkeys, blue jays, and other wild animals keep your eyes open!  Make sure to participate in every class and have a great time!
