Museum School Site Council

Site Council Overview/Structure
We are an "arm of the district" school which means we are under
the Districts general jurisdiction, but our own Governing Board
monitors and guides the operation of the Museum School.
- Charter Renewal Process
Phil described the process of the submittal, 2 petitions from parents and
teachers (we have almost everybodys signature on the petitions so
far), the renewal document, 3 year budget.
We will meet with the Board of Education late November or early December
for approval of the charter.
Formal Governing Board: From this meeting Dessa Wright, Lois Miller, Leonora
Calsada-Cooks were nominated. We will also post for other interested parties.

-Discussion of how to fund it. Last year it was about $30.00 /a semester
/per class, but we actually fell short last year as the student attendance
fell off at the end of the year. Suggestions to increase the amount, or
make a sliding scale. We will sign up students first and then sort out the
cost so that the school does not have to subsidize the after school music
program.
- Gold C update
-need to sell at least another 280 books . Trying to make $2000.00
- Breakfast club.
-Lupe and Joe have been here everyday. Can use more volunteers.
